Haze of You

Lost within a haze of you, safe and cautious, to risk nothing. Risking only my soul that craves the creation, the creator I was always meant to be.
We loved each other wholly and went on our way, filling life with trappings of comfort and easy. Suppressing myself for fear of losing us, not realizing I had lost me. When you gave me the sight to become me, to see I was always the smith, the tempest of my own destiny.
Grateful I will always be for the time spent and fondly I will think of us the children we once where. To dance and sing and feast in the reflections of the past, I look down the trail and see a different path.
Giving everything and gaining so much, but always needing more from myself, from you. Never reaching complete understanding for one another, never truly being free. I craft a hemlock for the Gods, to take us both free from out of this haze. Down the path our journey parts, now in sorrow that waters the seed of a new divinity.
